Educational Report

What Each Number
Means.

TPH explains headroom readings in plain language so producers can make safer export and mastering decisions.

Peak Headroom

The space between the loudest sample peak and 0 dBFS. More space gives mastering tools room to work.

True Peak

True peak estimates intersample peaks that may happen between samples during playback or MP3/AAC conversion.

Codec Risk

Files close to 0 dBFS can distort after lossy encoding. Extra headroom reduces that risk.
